Meet the Newest Member of The Kas Pack: Willow
We’ve shared sad and difficult news here on The Kas Pack more often than we would have liked in 2024. Saying goodbye to both Daviana and Indiana was hard on everyone, especially Lucifer.
However, today, we’re coming to you with a very different and happy announcement.
We are excited to welcome the newest member of The Kas Pack: Willow!
The search for our pack’s “ideal fit” was pretty specific. We wanted a 1 to 3-year-old rescue dog (we are both happy to skip the puppy phase this time, no shade to those who love it) who is good with dogs and cats and can keep up with our busy lifestyle.
As we started the search, John fell IN LOVE with the Anatolian Shepherd breed.
So, we took to Petfinder to search rescues across Canada and the United States for a pup that checked all the boxes.
Having brought Lucifer to Canada from Tennessee, we were open to adopting at a distance if that’s what it took. We were surprised to discover that the perfect match was waiting in our backyard (Grey/Bruce County, Ontario).
Shout out to Team Triton Rescue for everything they did to give this girl the second chance she deserved.
Willow is super affectionate and loving. She would happily spend all day snuggled up and getting attention if given the opportunity.
She and Lucifer have bonded quickly, enjoying constant play sessions both in the cabin and around the property.
When the day is done, and it’s time to settle in, she quickly takes on her most important role in the pack – Daddy’s Girl (which is perfect given that Lucifer is such a Mommy’s Boy).
There is a lot to teach her about being a camping & hiking pup, including introducing her to the tent, working on her recall, and working on her trail/campground etiquette. But Lucifer is happily showing her the ropes as we introduce her to our outdoor lifestyle.
We can’t wait to share her adventures with all of you!
